The material your trailer is made from can have a significant impact on the care and maintenance over time. An aluminum trailer is light and strong and has the benefits of very low maintenance. It does not need painting because the aluminum is rust and corrosion-resistant. The trailer needs to be washed once in a while and like any trailer, you will need to maintain the tires, brakes, and wheel bearings on a regular maintenance schedule.
The way you use your trailer and the kinds of things you haul with it can affect the amount of maintenance you need to do on it, but an aluma bed trailer is durable and often cleaning the trailer requires only that you rinse the deck off with a water hose and allow it to dry.
